AUTM Responds to USPTO’s Request for Comments Regarding Unlocking the Full Potential of Intellectual Property


The USPTO is requesting comments on the topic of “Unlocking the Full Potential of Intellectual Property by Translating More Innovation to the Marketplace." Specifically, the USPTO is seeking public comment on how the agency can build on current initiatives to advance intellectual property into the marketplace. The USPTO, with support from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the National Science Foundation (NSF), seeks input on new ways to unlock the potential of intellectual property for the public good by fostering pathways for innovation to reach the marketplace, with particular attention to green, critical, and emerging technologies.

AUTM has submitted comments as approved by the Board of Directors and provided an editable version for Members to use as guidance as they form their own statements. Comments are due by May 14, 2024.
