Meet the Winners of the 2025 AUTM Board Elections

Congratulations to Jennifer Fraser and Marie Christine Kerbeshian who have been elected to join the AUTM Board of Directors. More than 25% of AUTM Members voted to elect the two new Directors.

Each will serve a three-year term starting in March 2025 at the 2025 AUTM Annual Meeting in Maryland.

Jennifer FraserJennifer Fraser is Director, Innovations at the University of Toronto. She has dedicated the last 25 years on commercializing early stage technology. Whether the work has been for a startup company, a venture capital firm or a university, the goal has always been the same; to ensure promising technologies have the resources and a plan to make it to the market. Little-known fact about Jennifer: She loves sports and gets a little extreme in her commitment to participate. Golf and baseball in the summer. Curling and pickleball in the winter. Through in a few more sporting one-offs and it’s a wonder she has time to sit down during her off hours.

Marie Christine KerpershianMarie Christine Kerbeshian is the Assistant Vice-President and Executive Director of the University of Iowa (UI) Research Foundation. There she has been able to get IP policy changes through university shared governance and gather support for changing the office’s funding model. She also spearheaded the university’s first-ever equity investment policy, made possible by changes to state legislation. Little-known fact about Marie: She has been taking singing lessons for five years, working on pieces from Purcell to Patsy Cline (her favorite are French art songs from the Romantic period—intellectually challenging because the piano accompaniment is busy doing something beautiful but seemingly unrelated to what she is trying to sing). She enjoys practicing, but gets nervous before each recital.
