NSF Convergence Accelerator Regional Expansion Event

Attention all innovators: the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Convergence Accelerator is continuing its expansion to 10 regions across the country with upcoming Northeast Regional Expansion Events in New York City (November 7) and Providence, Rhode Island (November 13). Similar to AUTM’s focus on educating technology transfer professionals to support results-oriented research, the NSF Convergence Accelerator promotes collaborative use-inspired research partnerships across disciplines, expertise and sectors, to speed tangible customer-focused solutions for national impact and at the regional level. These events are your opportunity to learn more about this dynamic program, the scaling of its established program model to the regional level and the NSF Convergence Accelerator’s unique approach to driving innovation, while exploring ways to devise regional solutions rooted in human needs with lasting impact.
 
During each Northeast Regional Expansion Event, speakers from the NSF Convergence Accelerator Team will give an overview of the program model, its multidisciplinary approach to research and its plan to expand the program regionally. Additionally, NSF will discuss the many opportunities for stakeholders to engage with the NSF Convergence Accelerator—including the role of Regional Anchor, responsible for executing the program model at the regional level. The agenda also features a panel discussion with current NSF-funded teams and their experiences with the NSF Convergence Accelerator. At the end of each event, attendees will benefit from an hour-long networking session where they can discuss insights gained and explore opportunities for collaborative partnerships.
