What is your current state of mind?
I need quality time with my beagle!

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Simple, but quality time with my loved ones.

Which living person do you most admire?
My dad. We often compete using a dining table as a desk.

What is your greatest extravagance?
Sleeping for many hours.

What do you consider the most underrated virtue?
Understanding. To win a person's heart you need to understand them.

What is your greatest fear?
Becoming dehydrated while flying on a plane.

What is your motto?
Do what you believe in and never give up.

What advice would you offer to someone considering a career in tech transfer?
It is important to have respect in your career. If you think you could contribute to the tech transfer arena, just go for it!

What unexpected challenges have you faced since you entered tech transfer?
Being challenged by inventors who think they are better off without the assistance of tech transfer professionals. I cannot agree more with other Big Reveal participants that "patience" is essential for those who wish to stay in this career. Establishing trust is essential. In order to gain the trust of inventors we host in-house training, seminars and lab visits every year. Those who overlooked us earlier come back when they encounter problems that they could not solve by themselves.

How has being a recipient of a Howard Bremer Scholarship benefited you?
It was a great inspiration to pay it forward.
