1) What do you like to do in your downtime?
TRAVEL! My wife and I love to travel. It was my wife's dream to visit 50 countries before she turns 50. While we are far away from that, we are optimistic that once the pandemic is over, we can resume our travels where we left off. It's been a privilege and a joy to see the Great Pyramids in Egypt, the Acropolis in Greece, the Jungfraujoch in Switzerland and the Taj Mahal in India to name a few places around the globe.

2.     What’s a TV show you’ve binged recently?
The Queen's Gambit. I am not an avid chess player, but I have always found the game interesting and challenging. Additionally, it makes me feel good about the endless possibilities my teenage niece (a chess champion herself) may have, watching the protagonist of the show take on world-famous chess champs.

3.     What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
That I live to eat, and not eat to live (albeit people close to me already know this).

4.     What do you do to turn things around when you’re having a bad day?
My go-to zen place is to take a nice long walk in my neighborhood, especially during the recent "remote working" period. It's surprising how good the roses smell and how blue the sky looks when you need to clear your mind.

5.     What’s the best work-from-home purchase you’ve made that you’d recommend to anyone (bonus if it was under $100!)
Our Wi-Fi signal booster- you can find some good ones under $100. With my wife (who has been a permanent telecommuter for the last 14 years) and me on Zoom calls all day, it comes handy in my makeshift, temporary office. (As she likes to remind me- "I am only renting office space at home until the pandemic is over.")

6.     What’s your favorite place to eat in your town and why?
I have a few in Cherry Hill, NJ: Han Dynasty for Chinese, La Cita for Mexican and Amma's for Indian food. Each of these is a small, family-owned, BYOB place! The perfect food with the perfect wine/beer pairing of my choosing.

7.     What’s the best bit of professional advice you’ve received - or given - and why?
As a mentor to AUTM Fellows, my advice has been simple: "ask and thou shall receive"... don't ask, don't receive!

8.     What drew you to work at Rowan University?
Location (proximity to Philadelphia city and airport), its small start-up office structure and ability to develop an innovation culture from ground-up, on-campus vis-a-vis tech transfer.

9.     What aspects of tech transfer energize you?
The networking, innovations, collaboration, engagement....and of course, working with AUTM Members!!
