is the marketing and communications manager at NUtech Ventures, the technology commercialization affiliate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She oversees content marketing for new technology and faculty engagement, including public relations, multimedia production and media distribution.
Alyssa previously led science communication efforts for a university research center, implementing content strategy for federally funded grants. She also worked in corporate communications for Fortune 500 transportation industries. Alyssa received an MBA and master’s degree in Integrated Media Communication from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Prior to that, Chad received his MBA from the University of Tennessee (2006), and founded Mill Creek Holdings, a Technology Transfer and New Technologies Consulting Firm with clients that include Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Voices Heard Media, Elixir Media Group, 360ip; and VC firms (Innovation Valley Partners, Battelle Ventures, SoHoVista, Aldis, & Academy Funds). He obtained his BS in Engineering Design from East Tennessee State University and was previously employed in doing 3D design (video games, TV, medical/surgical simulation, construction).

David is an entrepreneur, executive and advisor specialising in biomedical technology commercialisation and early stage ventures. David previously led medical technology commercialisation in Singapore for A*STAR, the national science and technology agency. Prior to this, David has founded new ventures in areas such as 3D printing, neurostimulation and Incontinence management. David has an Honours degree in Computer Science from UNSW and a Masters of Intellectual Property Law from Monash University. He is an inventor on 24 granted patents. His interest areas include precision medicine, AI, genomics, bioinformatics, brain-computer interface, bioelectronic medicine, medical imaging and wearable sensors.
As Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, Paul Tumarkin
develops and executes TLA’s marketing strategies, managing the organization’s web and social media presences, and working with TLA leadership to help the organization extend its reach both into the UA community, as well as out to the greater business community. Prior to joining TLA, he spent three years with University Relations Marketing at the UA.
He made the jump from academia to business in the mid-1990s, gaining experience developing communications and branding solutions for corporations, nonprofits and agencies alike. He also spent a number of years freelancing, primarily for clients in the education technology sector. Paul received his BA from Colorado College and his MA in Spanish Literature from the University of California, Irvine. Outside of work, Paul finds balance in spending time with his family and his dogs, running, camping and playing guitar. He also studies and teaches aikido.
