AUTM Wins EXCEL Award for Video on Tech Transfer Careers

WASHINGTON, DC, June 22, 2022 — AUTM, a global non-profit whose Members work to advance ideas from research institutions into the marketplace to stimulate the economy and benefit society, has been honored with an Association Media & Publishing Network EXCEL bronze award.

The award recognizes AUTM’s single entry promotional video “Tech Transfer: The Best Career You’ve Never Heard of,” which shares the personal stories of AUTM Members and how they entered, sometimes quite circuitously, the technology transfer field.

“The video adeptly captures the tech transfer career journey,” said AUTM CEO Stephen J. Susalka. “It is seldom a straight line, but once you find tech transfer and begin the work of shepherding ground-breaking ideas from the lab to the marketplace, you never look back.”

This was the Software & Information Industry Association’s 42nd Annual AM&P Awards, which are the largest and most prestigious program recognizing excellence and leadership in association media, publishing, marketing and communication, with 220 awards presented across 83 categories
