Presenter Bios:
Tari Suprapto, Ph.D., RTTP is currently the Director for Search & Evaluation for Western US and Canada for Novo Nordisk and scouted for Elanco Animal Health. Tari has extensive experience in licensing and building and managing strategic alliances as she spent over 15 years commercializing innovations from world-class research institutions including The Salk Institute, The Rockefeller University, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She also has a strong scientific background evidenced by her Ph.D. in cell biology from The Rockefeller University and an Honors B.A. from Swarthmore College. Tari also serves on several committees for regional organizations and is an advisor to CEO 360 and Founders Corner in San Diego.

Sharon Semones earned her BS in Chemistry from Chatham University and MS in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University. In 2023, she became VP of Scientific Business Development at Indiana Biosciences Research Institute where she has where she has signed 9 deals ranging from integrated drug discovery collaborations, sponsored research, licensing and out licensing while developing strategy for BD and IBRI’s incubator space, including the creation of the Quantum Leap Award. She also serves as a judge to several institutes Provost’s Proof of Concept (PPOC) Funds and Awards. In addition, Sharon spent almost 24 years at Eli Lilly and Company, starting a Physical Properties Group in Discovery Research and then moved to various roles in External R&D ranging from Global External R&D, Open Innovation, Emerging Technology and Innovation and Venture Science. Her responsibilities ranged from developing and managing technology portfolios and strategy to partnering with academics, non-profits, biotechs, startups and venture capital firms to foster and develop novel business models. While at Lilly, Sharon identified and executed over 300 deals ranging from sponsored research, material transfer agreements, grant funding, in licensing, strategic collaborations, venture fund investments and direct investments.
