Demographic Survey

Welcome to AUTM’s Biennial Demographic Survey

AUTM's biennial Demographic Survey provides a snapshot of the breadth and diversity of the tech transfer community. Any member of the tech transfer community is encouraged to participate.

Take the Survey

AUTM will use the aggregated survey data to inform the Association's strategic planning, create professional programming and advocate on behalf of the tech/knowledge transfer profession. The anonymized results will be shared and tracked to identify trends and implement improvements.

Still have questions? Contact AUTM Membership Manager, Katie Ventrice. She will forward your de-identified question to a subject matter expert who will keep your conversation private.

You can find a link to the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/24DemoSurvey.

Take the survey if you work at an academic institution, government lab, hospital, industry business development, and have knowledge and expertise relating to intellectual property protection and licensing, corporate engagement, startup business creation and/or economic development.

If you’re not sure you should take this survey, contact us at info@autm.net.

The survey is anonymous. We have no way of associating any survey responses with those who submitted them. No individual contact information is collected. When survey results are reported, they are aggregated — combined and presented to avoid the identification of any participants. AUTM’s Privacy of Information policy can be viewed here.  None of the information collected by the survey will be used by AUTM to discriminate or negatively impact any individual in the profession.

The anonymized results will be shared with the tech transfer community.

AUTM, a global leader in technology transfer, is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within its Membership and the technology transfer profession. At AUTM, diversity encompasses, but is not limited to race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender identity, age, physical or medical condition, military and veteran status, socioeconomic status, marital and familial status, and sexual orientation. With greater diversity, we can be more just, effective, and creative by bringing varied perspectives, experiences, backgrounds, talents, and interests to AUTM. We recognize that to support the pursuit of equal justice, inclusion, and integrity fully and equitably, AUTM and the technology transfer/knowledge exchange profession must reflect the full spectrum of the world.

Join the Diversity and Inclusion SIG whose mission is to foster discussion and understanding of diversity and inclusion as a dynamic strategy to support and advance technology transfer worldwide. More than ever, creating welcoming environments that help people feel valued, included, and empowered is essential to success. This is the place to share ideas on how to support the diverse workforce and contribute to global technology transfer.
